Employment
The nursing and midwifery workforce is one of the health system's greatest assets with over 43,000 nurses and midwives employed in the NSW public health system alone.
Our recruitment, retention, educational and promotional strategies are evidence of the high priority the NSW Government places on recruiting to and retaining nurses and midwives in the NSW public health system.
The purpose of NaMO is to
- Enable the growth of the nursing and midwifery professions and their practice.
- Inform and be informed by policy and decision making at all levels of government.
- We achieve this through leadership, influence, vision and information, to benefit the health and well being of the community.
