Summary
The NSW Health Influenza Pandemic Plan is a sub-plan to NSW HEALTHPLAN. It provides a strategic framework to aid the NSW health sector prepare for and respond to an influenza pandemic (or other highly transmissible respiratory infections associated with significant morbidity or mortality). Subordinate operational plans are maintained separately. The primary purpose of the plan is to minimise the adverse health impacts of an influenza pandemic on the NSW community and minimise disruption to the NSW health system by articulating the health management arrangements for a potential or confirmed influenza pandemic in NSW.
