Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) Program: Health Outcomes

Summary

MERIT is an intervention program based in NSW Local Courts that gives adult defendants with drug problems who are eligible for bail the opportunity to receive individualised drug treatment. This study assesses to efficacy of the program in achieving its intended health outcomes - in particular, reduced drug use and improved health and social outcomes.
