The Nursing and Midwifery Office is hosting a nursing and midwifery Innovation Showcase on the morning of 14 September 2017. The Showcase will take place at The Mint, Sydney and will complement the NSW Health Nursing and Midwifery Awards being held later the same day.

Innovation in healthcare involves the introduction of a new concept, service, idea or perhaps process, that aims to improve aspects of care such as service delivery, education, patient experience, access to care or prevention strategies with the overarching goal of improving quality, safety, efficiency and the use of health resources.

The Innovation Showcase provides nurses and midwives a state wide forum to present initiatives that have been developed as part of Nurse Strategy Funding and Innovation Scholarship awards. Its an opportunity to share innovative practice change and to diffuse ideas amongst colleagues and spark inspiration across a range of practice settings.

The stand out presentation will receive the opportunity to present at the 2017 NSW Health Innovation Symposium.

An expert panel will provide an opportunity for feedback and for teams to ask questions relating to practice change and service planning and development.
