Accelerating Implementation Methodology (AIM) training program

AIM is a practical guide to effectively managing change by overcoming personal and cultural barriers. It’s about learning how to address or remove obstacles that might prevent you from delivering projects on time, on budget and within scope. It is particularly beneficial for those:

  • currently implementing a project
  • about to implement a project
  • involved in an improvement initiative
  • authorising, approving or managing staff involved in project implementation.

WOHP Capability Development Day

The Capability Development Days are held twice a year for LHDs and networks, WOHP Leads, and when relevant, Patient Flow Managers. The days are designed to be a collaborative day for innovative and motivated LHD leads to come together and share knowledge, project learnings and network. The days agendas are designed based on the learning needs or knowledge gaps identified by the WOHP leads. Attendance to the WOHP Capability Development Days is by invitation only.

WOHP "Improving Access to Care" fortnightly webinars

The WOHP Improving Access to Care fortnightly webinars are open to everyone with an interest in the topic of the week. Held on the first and third Tuesday of the month through the GoToWebinar system, these webinars are always recorded for those unable to attend remotely.

Access to registration details are through your local WOHP leads or through the WOHP team. The topics are usually known 2-3 weeks in advance. However, the topics can often change with late notice dependant on workload and commitments of the presenters.


Gem is a comprehensive online eLearning platform offering a range of interactive short courses on various topics for NSW Health staff. Gem is designed to provide access to flexible learning opportunities for all staff working across the NSW Health system, regardless of their geographical location. The modules and assessments listed below can be completed at an individual's own pace.

Currently Gem hosts e-learning modules on:

  • redesign methodology
  • project management
  • emergency management
  • clinical practice improvement methodology
  • patient flow
  • patient and carer experience.

People management skills

The HETI People Management Skills Program is a priority of the Health Professionals Workforce Plan (2012-2022). HETI is co-leading the program in partnership with local health districts and specialty hospital networks.

The blended learning program is designed to enable supervisors, managers and leaders within the NSW Health system to gain competencies and workplace skills in people management, including managing change.​​​
